Foggles (“Fog Goggles”) are the most comfortable way to restrict your outside view while practicing instrument flying. Approximately 85% of Foggles’ high-impact polycarbonate lenses are frosted so that only a small field of view is available, restricting vision to only the instrument panel.
Unlike IFR hoods, Foggles don’t give you that feeling of looking down a tunnel, and they also aren’t as clumsy or cumbersome.
They fit comfortably over most eyeglasses, work with any standard headset, and won’t get in the way of headset wires. No wonder Foggles are the most popular IFR training goggles!
